Briggs Family Update

We would like to share the following communication from The Briggs family, following the last weeks County Championships

We would be most grateful if you could pass on our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the members of Lincs ASA, all the swim teams and Grantham Leisure Centre.

Andrew suffered a cardiac arrest at the start of the championships last Sunday. We will forever be grateful to everyone at the pool who helped Andrew. The professionalism and prompt CPR he received saved his life and while he is still seriously ill in Intensive Care at Lincoln County Hospital he is now awake and speaking to us after nearly four days in an induced coma. We still have a long road to recovery but we are so thankful that we are now on that road.

The support we have received from our club, South Lincs Competitive Swim Club has been outstanding and the messages of support and good wishes from all the clubs, for not only Andrew but myself and our two girls Mollie and Emily, have helped us through the most traumatic week imaginable.

There are so many people we would like to thank and hopefully soon Andrew will be able to thank you all himself. To Dr Morsey and the paramedic who commenced CPR we are eternally grateful and we will never forget what you did for Andrew. To everyone else who helped in whatever way, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We will never forget what you have done for us,

Thank you and swim fast !!

Jackie, Mollie and Emily Briggs
